Ready, Set, LEARN ABOUT HORSES WEEK!

The horses are dirty, feet are in need of a trim, health exams are due, vaccines are needed, teeth need to be floated, baths are on the schedule and the fun is about to begin here at Roux Camp!
We have in front of us a packed week of learning and I can hardly stand the wait of tomorrow morning to greet my students! Today I will spend finishing up the schedule and text books. 


Sneak Peek at the upcoming: (more in depth curriculum supplied to students night before)

 
  1. Monday - Welcome/Orientation, Vocabulary, Basic Anatomy, Safety and Breeds
  2. Tuesday - Hooves, Legs and Pastures! ~ Farrier visit and the study of healthy feet
  3. Wednesday - Horse well check, Dentals, and Vaccines with the Veterinarian, Nutrition, and 1st Aid
  4. Thursday - Grooming, Bathing, Braiding and introduction to Games! 
  5. Friday - Psychology, Games and GRADUATION! 


We are a Safety and Horse first facility with an aim to create the understanding of horse needs and basic  care while building a long lasting relationship with horses for a lifetime!
