Winter Season Update

The fuz has thickened, their breath is soft white clouds of smoke in the brisk mornings. It's winter in Maine with horses. If you are done showing for the season you don't dare shave the whiskers or the sassy thick soft coat that has suddenly appeared on their belies, legs and butts. The beloved ears are now soft and fuzzy and somehow smaller than in the summer.
We are on a winter break here at Dragonfly Farm. We rejoice in being able to explore more of our pastures without being pestered by flies, black flies, hornets, or other biting insects of the summer season.
There is a sense of peace and tranquility here at home with the horses. It's their rest time, Thanksgiving and Christmas hold times to rejoice in the challenges we have overcome over the last year and prepare for the tests we shall face in the new year.
Our horses this year were just amazing! They offered lessons of relationships that I could haven't ever imagined! Humbly I speak from my heart when I say, this past year has been amazing for us here too. Those horses and just the thought of Roux Camp has brought so many gifts into our lives I can't ever imagine why I haven't done this sooner! And how grateful that I am that I did finally start this and how I can hardly wait to find out where Roux Camp will take us all! Here are a few fall pictures to share and love of the boys as they prepare for winter.

The next Roux Camp will be February 18th through the 22nd of 2013. Please contact us for further information if you are interested in our great program.
